The Channel Islands were the only British soil occupied by the Germans in World War II. One poignant site that has been meticulously reconstructed is the German Underground Hospital. Constructed by forced workers under harrowing conditions, the hospital is an intriguing piece of engineering, with its long tunnels and ingenious drainage system. Films and memorabilia add to the already powerful experience. Open times vary per season.

The Jersey War Tunnels are a conservation and interpretation site that offer visitors a chance to walk along the tunnels that were once occupied by German soldiers during World War Two. On-site facilities include the Garden of Reflection, the War Trail, Café and gift shop.
